On Saturday, December 8th, Seeing and Believing sponsored the One7 Ministries Christmas party at their outreach center. The event was a tremendous success. We performed a vision screening for 85 individuals to determine if follow-up treatment was necessary. Over 40 of those screened were determined to be in need of a deeper eye care exam. Our first two eye care clinics of 2019 will begin the process of meeting this need.

In addition to the vision screening, the Christmas party gave families in the area a taste of Christmas with free food, drinks, and games for the kids. The weather could have been better, but a little rain didn’t get in the way of kids having fun in bounce houses, arts and crafts, and carnival games. We also provided Christmas gifts for approximately 80 students and 60 athletes.

4th Annual Fundraising Event

Our 4th Annual Community Fundraising Event was successful thanks to our sponsors and awesome supporters! And thank you to D9 Brewing Company for being a great host again in 2017! Blue Monday, a local ’80s and ’90s cover band started off the fun, then we kicked off football season watching the Panthers take on the 49ers, while raising money for an awesome cause!

3rd Annual Community Fundraising Event

Our 3rd Annual Fundraising Event – a Carolina Panthers Watch Party – was a blast! Held on October 16, 2016, we tried something a little different from our previous two Country Galas. We went with a football theme and had a blast at our Carolina Panthers Watch Party! Many thanks to all of our awesome supporters who attended! And thank you also to Boardwalk Billy’s and D9 Brewing Company for helping make the event possible.

For our second annual fundraising event, we returned to Dilworth Grille for another Country Gala. The event was held on September 17, 2015. We raised over $4,000 for our cause and shared the experiences of people whose lives have been changed over the past year. The Part Time Blues Band entertained us again, creating the perfect atmosphere for sharing our message with supporters.

One highlight of this event was a video demonstrating the difference we are making in the Charlotte community. For those of you in attendance, we truly appreciate your support. If you didn’t make it, be sure to sign up for our e-news so we can alert of future events!

Our 2014 Country Gala was a fun and successful inaugural fundraising event! The Part-Time Blues Band got the party started off right with some great tunes. According to Dilworth Grille, we broke the record for the most mac n’ cheese ever eaten at one of their onsite events! The BBQ was pretty tasty as well. And, more than a dozen people went home with awesome items from our Silent Auction!

Our community fundraising events wouldn’t have been possible without all of our wonderful volunteers, so we give a special thanks to everyone who had a hand in making the events come to life.
